Wrestling

I wonder how much longer they can wrestle three on one. . .

Puzzle Time!

Here is the first time that both boys worked on a puzzle and neither needed much help!! They were so quiet and focused on getting their puzzles done. And so excited when they finished them! Great work boys!!

Dressing himself

Just realized that Kevin dressed himself this morning while we are out running errands. Love it!

In case you can't tell, he chose:

- favorite alient t-shirt with the decal coming off
- hawkeye basketball shorts that are a few sizes too big
- lightening McQueen black socks
- buzz light year sandals that are on the wrong feet

Wet superheros

The other day I turned on the backyard sprinklers and Tyler declared it the best day ever. Kevin and he had a blast getting soaked and spent the afternoon pretending to be superheroes battling the water. :). I got a picture of their superhero poses.




Jake pretty much thought that we're nuts and just hung out in a chair watching them have fun. :)

First trip to daddy's new office

On Friday we met Adam for lunch. I laughed while driving in to campus because when we turned in I announced that "this is college" to the kids. I thought that they would just cheer but instead I got screaming from Tyler. It turns out that he was very excited to be at college because Andy from Toy Story 3 is now at college an he is hoping to see him too.

After lunch Adam ran Ty and Kev into his building to go see his new office. Tyler was thrilled to learn that his office is on a library and was more excited to find the Minnesota Law Review section since we used to live there. Kevin was just as excited to get to go in and was very proud when daddy told me that e used his inside voice the entire time. :)

I took a nap this afternoon and when I awoke, Adam informed me that Tyler and Kevin had a breakthrough on their mission to climb the backyard trees without help from us. They have spent the whole afternoon and this evening climbing up and down the two trees. They are getting quicker and so proud of their accomplishment today! :)

Stigler Fun

Our next stop on our Oklahoma trip was at Gramps and Gigi's house in Stigler. The weather was gorgeous and the boys loved spending time exploring outside, entertaining Grandma and Grandpa, and driving around in Gramps golf cart. We all also got to spend some time with Uncle Kerry as he flew into town at the same time. Jake immediately bonded to him and enjoyed some good naps on his shoulder. :). A great visit to see grandma and grandpa and I can't thank them enough for letting us come stay with them!!

Of course we had to practice climbing trees! Tyler managed twice to get up into a tree all on his own. And Kevin loved getting up in one too. Even cousin Mart who was a little nervous at first got into it and had a good time!!!










Nothing like a good snuggle nap after playing at the playground!!

This picture is my favorite. Adam was chasing all the kids around the playground pretending to be a lion. The kids all loved it, including some random kids we didnt know. The surprise was on him though when the kids all jump on the golf cart and gramps took off!!! It was so funny to watch him chase them and to hear the kids laughing. :)

Conversation this morning

As we were getting ready to leave, Adam asked me to remind him that he needs to pick up distilled or spring water while we were out. I said okay and about then, Tyler (who was standing there) said "that's right dad because fall and winter water is too cold"! Ha. We love it. :)

Grandma and Grandpa Wallace

Yesterday we spent the day with Grandma and Grandpa Wallace. We had a blast getting to spend the day with them, and two of my cousins and their families. Grandma served up some yummy ice cream cones and grandpa gave Kevin some drawing tips.

This first video is of grandpa teaching Kevin to draw a tractor. It involved a lot of giggling as Kevin has his own interpretation of things. :)

And Jacob enjoyed some special snuggle time with grandpa driving cars.






I found this picture on their fridge and had to get a copy. It is a rare picture of all of us cousins together. Too cool!





Then a picture of the boys with two of their extended cousins who came over to play. Miss K is just a few days younger than Kevin and then her little sister Miss H is just three months old and so cute! They all had fun dancing and playing hide and seek together.

Children's Zoo

One day while Aunt Mary and cousin JJ were visiting we went to the Children's Zoo. The zoo is designed for littler kids with lots of stuff to play on, several peacocks running around loose, and different animals to pet or ride. We all has fun getting out to see the animals and watching the boys run around. :)

Lots of unpacking = fun new games

Unpacking means lots of empty boxes and packing paper. With three little boys, one dad, and one grandpa in the house this means lots of fun playtime. The first picture is of a box castle and drawbridge that Adam made. And the second picture is of the crazy paper wrestling game Grandpa Vaughn and Adam created for the boys. So lots of mess but the kids had a blast playing these games in the midst of all of the unpacking.

Settling in

We have officially moved! It was really hard to say goodbye to our life in Minnesota and our last few moments in the house did prove to be more emotional than I thought.

But the whole transition went smoothly and the boys adjusted better than we thought they would through the whole process. And they all love having their own rooms (rather than sharing).

I took this picture the other day in our backyard. We are all enjoying the new house and having Adam home. It's a real treat to have so much time together to adjust and be together. Now if the boxes would unpack themselves, that would be even better.
